Youssouf Diamoutene, Jr. is a five-year-fighter from New York City who came to CFS for a better educational opportunity. Next year he will attend Siena College, where he hopes to study either criminology or business. In addition to learning “social skills” that will serve him well throughout his life, Youssouf is proud of serving as a cottage prefect, lacrosse captain and receiving many academic accolades. Says Wayne Bala, Youssouf’s cottage parent, “you have so many good things going for you – a great personality, you’re respectful of your peers and faculty alike, you’re intelligent, well-spoken, and best of all, you have a smile that could light up a room. You have qualities that employers look for when hiring people. They can teach you what their organization does. They cannot teach you to be the person you already are. Keep doing what you’ve been doing. Good things are out there for you!”
Adds his advisor, Mr. Kevin Korb, says, “Youssouf is the friendliest face around. He is an honest, upright gentleman who is good to everyone. He excelled in his favorite sport, lacrosse, as the all-time leading scorer and overall points for CFS. I have been so proud to be his advisor, coach and teacher. I enjoyed every moment I spent with him and wish him the best of luck in college and all his future endeavors. Go Griffins!”
