Newt Disney '48

An excellent all-around athlete while a student at Church Farm School, Newt Disney '48 played football, basketball and track & field. He returned to campus in the winter of 1957 to coach basketball, and led the team to back-to-back KSAC championships in the 1961-62 and 1962-63 seasons. One of his fondest memories as coach of the basketball team was coaching a large group of really wonderful, determined young men, and experiencing support for the team from the entire student body. It was important to "Diz" to give something back to the school, and coaching CFS students was his way of doing so.
