Winter Track Team Members Heading to State Championships

Church Farm School’s winter track team continues its stellar season at the 2015 PTFCA Indoor State Championship at Penn State University this weekend. The athletes will be competing in two events—the 60m dash (Nkosi Pile ’15 and Osiris Nicholson ’15, both ranked in the Top 10 in the state of Pennsylvania) and the 4x200 relay (Pile, Nicholson, Ahmad Thomas ’15 and Stephen Zarycranski ’16). CFS’ relay team has taken first this season at the Lehigh Meet in December, the Robert J. Burdette Indoor Classic in January, the Susquehanna Indoor Invitational in February and most recently at the TFCAofGP Meet of Champions at Lehigh University.
Following a first-place finish in the 55m dash at the New Balance Games at the Armory Track in January, Church Farm School senior Osiris Nicholson placed third in the prestigious 2015 NYRR (New York Road Runners) Millrose Games on February 14, 2015. He also placed first in the 60m dash at the Burdette Indoor Classic. Pile finished 3rd in the 60m dash at the Meet of Champions, with a personal best time of 7.04. Coaches Rohan Grant and Tony Wrice are thrilled with the team’s collective and individual accomplishments this season, and are looking forward to continued success this weekend.
