Middle States Association Visiting Team Recommends Church Farm School for Accreditation

“CFS is a unique and precious community, providing a safe and supportive academic environment for young people from diverse and challenging backgrounds, to gain confidence both as students and as human beings, and helping them move on to the next stage of their lives in college … it is a culture where every student feels respected, valued, and supported.”

"We have been privileged to witness the excitement of the work you do at Church Farm School. You should take great pride in creating a unique program that is magical for the young men who might otherwise be left behind. The work you do is life changing, and world changing. I wonder where we find these great young minds that you have awakened in future years. What genius and creative spirits are inside these walls now?  How will these students weave their own special fabric of greatness?  What will be their gifts to the world?"

These are some of the words that Mr. David Mullen, Middle States Association visiting team chair, used to sum up an intense four-day evaluation visit at our school. Mr. Mullen and his team of three other school leaders met with dozens of CFS faculty, students, parents and trustees. They observed classes, attended assembly, ate lunch in the dining center and toured cottages, in addition to analyzing reams of self-study data and analysis completed by our internal Planning Team, led by Doug Magee and Krista Peterson.

We are pleased and proud to announce that the visiting team will recommend Church Farm School for Middle States re-accreditation through 2023. This was the culmination of nearly a year and a half of self-study and preparation by so many people from the CFS community. Thank you to everyone who participated and supported these efforts! We look forward to a more formal written report during the coming weeks.
