Dr. Troy Baker Installed as Fifth Head of School

In a stirring speech before a crowd of hundreds watching in the Chapel of the Atonement and via simulcast on Saturday, October 18, Dr. Troy M. Baker, Church Farm’s fifth Head of School, spoke to his leadership - a commitment to Church Farm's foundational promise.

“Every Church Farm man is a man who has an ember of confidence inside him that needs fanning. And the only thing standing between their beginnings and the life they deserve is opportunity and access. That is Church Farm’s gift to all of us."

The Installation ceremony was presided over by The Very Rev. Canon Martini Shaw, Rector, The Historic African Episcopal Church of Saint Thomas, and included prayers, blessings, readings and a presentation of gifts on behalf of the school’s faculty and staff, Board of Directors and student body. More than 400 guests – including Dr. Baker’s family, friends and mentors – along with Church Farm faculty, staff, Board members, parents and alumni – helped celebrate the occasion.
