Osiris Nicholson '15 Takes First at New Balance Games
Osiris Nicholson '15, from the Bronx, NY, continued his track hot streak on January 24 by taking first in the 55m dash at the 2015 New Balance Games at the Armory Track in New York City with a time of 6.44. Prior to this achievement, he and his peers on the 4x200 relay team finished first at the Lehigh Meet, as well as the Burdette Invitational in December. We had a quick chat with Osiris.
Q: What's your favorite event?
A: The 55m dash. Unlike most people, I actually appreciate how short it is and how quickly the race goes by.
Q: Do you prefer team or individual competitions?
A: I prefer team, because I have a high confidence level when running with my teammates. When I see more of us succeeding on the track, it let's me know that more of us are doing something well for the school.
Q: What are your plans after Church Farm School?
A: I'd like to be in a college where I'm comfortable, and have no worries. I plan on running in college so I would like to be somewhere competitive.
Next up for Osiris is the Millrose Games in New York on Valentine's Day, the State Championships at Penn State on March 1 and finally, Nationals over spring break. In the meantime, watch the race here.
