Church Farm School Choir Performing Mozart’s Solemn Vespers at Carnegie Hall on April 4

Church Farm School is proud to announce that its choir has been selected to participate in the Masterworks Festival Chorus’ performance of Mozart’s Vesperae Solennes de Confessore (Solemn Vespers) at Carnegie Hall in New York City on April 4.
Presented by Manhattan Concert Productions, the Chorus will be led by guest conductor Jo-Michael Scheibe and includes high school and collegiate choirs from around the country. Led for the past 25 years by Choral Director Gary Gress, the Church Farm School Choir is comprised of approximately 28 young men in grades 9-12 who perform regularly throughout southeastern Pennsylvania. The Choir has previously performed at the U.S. Naval Academy Chapel in Annapolis; the Philadelphia Cathedral; the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C.; and the Russell Senate Building; has sung the National Anthem at several Philadelphia Phillies games; and individual members regularly participate in PMEA District, Regional, State and All East chorus festivals. “The students are working hard and quite excited about performing in Carnegie Hall; it is an experience they will never forget!” says Gress.
"We are ecstatic that our Choir will be involved in this incredible opportunity to perform at one of the country’s most prestigious venues,” says The Rev. Edmund Sherrill II, Church Farm School Head of School. “It is a true testament to the hard work and incredible talent exhibited by Mr. Gress and his students and we can’t wait to share this honor with them on April 4!”
