Dawit Kahesay '20, Allegheny College

Dawit Kahesay came to CFS as a 9th grader from Ethiopia, following in the footsteps of his brother, Natnael, who graduated in 2018 and is currently studying at Allegheny College, where Dawit will join him next year. He hopes to study biochemical engineering and psychology.

Highlights of Dawit’s CFS career include making it to regionals for wrestling, a sport in which he has continually improved over the course of his four years, and generally “improving myself day in and day out.”

Dawit has maintained strong grades at CFS, taking many AP courses. He says the “strong workload” has prepared him well for college. Serving as a cottage prefect in Pew, Mr. Bala says that Dawit has a “great personality, a good sense of humor and a strong work ethic” that should serve him well in his future endeavors.
