Elijah Johnson, Undecided

Elijah Johnson from Brooklyn, NY, came to CFS as a 9th grader looking for a new experience. He is undecided on which university he will matriculate to next year, but plans to study marketing. During his time at CFS, Elijah says he is most proud of receiving an award for greatest academic improvement, as well as his BAL Honorable Mention for varsity basketball and All-BAL award for cross country. Elijah says he will miss the people the most next year, and feels well-prepared to be away from home and participating in even more rigorous academic endeavors.

Says teacher Chuck Keller, “
I can’t even begin to tell you how impressed I was to have you in my class. You listened to what I said the class was about, and how to conduct yourself, and then you followed through on all those things day in and day out for the whole semester. You were consistent and reliable in your engagement in our seminars. I really hope you got as much out of it as you gave to it. It was truly my pleasure to have you in class.” Adds Band teacher and advisor Nicole Campbell, I have seen a renewed sense of passion for music and a leader in you so far this school year. Stepping into a natural leadership position in band has been so helpful to the program and to your own personal development.”
