Why the Chimes Rang Christmas Pageant

This timeless short story, first published in 1909 by Raymond MacDonald Alden, tells the story of a grand old church with beautiful chimes which mysteriously ring out every Christmas Eve whenever someone places an especially pleasing gift on the altar as an offering, and how a miracle occurs after the chimes have fallen silent for years. Performed by Church Farm School students and enhanced by organist Gary Gress along with holiday choral music by the CFS Choir, “Why the Chimes Rang” is a time-honored tradition.
The 2018 CFS Christmas Pageant will be held on Friday, December 14 at 8:00 p.m. (limited seating) and Sunday, December 16 at 3:00 p.m. To RSVP for the December 16 event (with an Open House preceding), please fill out the form below. If you'd like to attend the Friday evening performance, please write to development@gocfs.net or call 610.363.5333.
