IN THEIR OWN WORDS

“Church Farm School is the only place that I have lived for more than three years, and though I look forward to initiating the next chapter of my life, I am reluctant to leave my home.” – Miles Bernard ’14

“Prior to CFS, boarding school was not in my family’s vocabulary due to the cost of such a prestigious education. When I received the letter of acceptance in the mail it was almost as if the Lord was handing me a fresh start to a new chapter of my life. By exposing me to a small portion of the culture this world has to offer, teaching me how to be an effective student and instilling life skills that I would not otherwise have, boarding has proven to be the most definitive choice I have ever made.” – Connor Gibbons ’14

“CFS gives each of us the opportunity of a lifetime and has helped us progress as young men on this journey of life. This school has become a home for me and there is no place quite like home.” – Nick Thomas '14

Introducing the CFS Class of 2014

Class of 2014

CFS held its 92th Commencement Exercises on June 7, 2014, in the Chapel of the Atonement.  Thirty-four graduates received their diplomas and Bibles from Mark T. Carroll, Chairman CFS Board of Directors and Rev. Edmund K. Sherrill II, Head of School.  Following hymns, prayers and anthems by the CFS Choir and the assembled faculty, parents and friends, Marcus Pereira gave the Valedictory address. Special academic and athletic awards were presented. As the ceremonies drew to a close, The Rev. John Daniels, Chaplain, and Mr. Sherrill sent each boy out into the world beyond CFS with the traditional Blessing of the Class.

Students have received substantial scholarships to Villanova, Princeton, University of Southern California, Muhlenberg and Drexel; many others have received significant financial aid. One student has garnered both a Coca-Cola Foundation Scholarship and a Union League Scholarship.
